Today we (you) will create your class prompts.
You are responsible for creating a prompt and creating a sample (or samples) for students to read in order to understand the assignment.
You will be graded on your prompt and on your own writing connected to the prompt.
Some ideas:
- Make it exciting, new, and interesting. If you want people to write about the beauty of an everyday object, then have them listen to a song about this subject. Show a video clip that reveals the beauty of an everyday object. Bring everyday objects in as things students can write about.
- Have your classmates DO or CREATE something. Post Secrets, blackout poems, et cetera are fun because you are automatically directed to think outside of the box.
- Make it fun for you. This is your opportunity to design something that lets you explore/try something you really want to explore. We have huge lists of things you are into. We're not going to have time to address all of this, so make this count.
